Works
Bernard Buffet left an indelible mark on the art world and our collective imagination. His body of work is exceptionally rich, both thematically and symbolically, and in its visual execution. He saw himself as a craftsman, bringing extreme precision to every aspect of his creations and placing great importance on mastering a wide range of graphic and pictorial techniques.
This site is not intended to showcase the entirety of Bernard Buffet’s work, a task that will fall to a future museum dedicated to the artist. Instead, here you will find a selection of oil paintings, his predominant medium, alongside a choice of drawings and prints. This selection aims to highlight the key themes in his work and underline their universal and timeless qualities.
